The 28 winners of Casillero del Diablo’s international “Are you the 12th player?” contest had an unforgettable and legendary experience, which took place between May 22 and 27 in Manchester, England.
During three intense days, the lucky winners toured the city of Manchester, enjoyed English cuisine, visited Manchester United’s facilities, and most importantly, played a game of football at the legendary Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester United’s Theatre of Dreams.
“In our lives, there exist moments and experiences that are unparalleled, and that we will remember forever. What I experienced in Manchester was undoubtedly one of them, it was literally a dream come true to have been able to play at Old Trafford, to have been a Red Devils player for a day. To this, I would add the incredible group of people we were able to share that experience with,” said Andrés Povedano, one of the contest winners.
Before, during, and after the match, the winners were accompanied by two club legends. Andy Cole and Quinton Fortune were responsible for giving instructions to the enthusiastic participants.
“I always knew that magical things could happen in life, that there are times in which unexplainable situations happen. But to wake up one day and be the winner of a trip to Manchester, to be able to see one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world, Old Trafford, and play football there, it’s been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life,” said Fernanda Maldonado, another of the contest winners.
