The well-known American critic James Suckling gave significant backing to the different Casillero del Diablo ranges during his recent visit to Chile. Suckling awarded robust scores to the brand’s three Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Casillero del Diablo Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Central Valley, was awarded 90 points for its 2022 vintage. The same score was obtained by the 2022 vintage of our Cabernet Sauvignon in the Reserva Especial range from the Maule Valley.

Meanwhile, Casillero del Diablo Reserva Privada Cabernet Sauvignon received an outstanding 91 points for its 2022 vintage. This wine with its pronounced structure and notable tannins comes from the Maipo Valley, a place with optimal conditions for growing this variety.

The tasting was led by Marcelo Papa, Viña Concha y Toro’s Technical Director, who gave a presentation about the different wines to James Suckling and the media platform’s senior editor, Zekun Shuai.
