It was a veritable sports fest following the 2016 Casillero del Diablo Seven Viña rugby championship held January 15–17 in Viña del Mar, in Chile’s 5th region.
Now in its 30th edition, the event included the participation of first level selections, such as South Africa—currently ranked first in the world—as well as United States (3rd), Argentina (4th), Canada (8th), and others.
Once again Casillero del Diablo was the championship’s primary sponsor, and the more than 12,000 people who attended the three-day event had the opportunity to enjoy the brand’s different lines throughout the entire tournament.
On the purely sporting front, Argentina beat out the United States, Canada, South Africa, Chile, and Uruguay to take home the 2016 Casillero del Diablo Seven Viña Nations of Rugby Gold Cup.
The Chilean home team also gave an outstanding performance and classified to play in the World Rugby Sevens Series in Hong Kong on April 8.
