Cutting edge technology and a script linking medieval knights and football are part of the first advertising spot successfully launched by Casillero del Diablo to communicate its strategic alliance with British football club Manchester United.
The spot was produced using Motion Capture, a technique that records human actors’ motions and then translates those movements onto a digital model, such as 3D character animations.
Although this technique is not new in film studios around the world, in Chile it is the first spot created with this technology, making this video a milestone in the history of Chile’s advertising industry.
Recordings were made using real athletes equipped with motion sensors to capture data which is then used to generate the natural movements that appear in the sequence of knights in armor.
Following the spot’s debut in Chile’s prime time national television, the new advertisement has been praised and reviewed by the most prestigious digital media specialists on the internet.
Casillero del Diablo plans to launch this ad in more than 130 countries where it is present, to reveal not only the quality and diversity of this brand’s premium wines, but also using novel audiovisual technologies to increase brand awareness.
