October 10, 2012

A brilliant participation was achieved by four Casillero del Diablo’s wine varieties in two of the most important wine competitions that took place in New Zealand today: “New Zealand International Wine Show” and “Spiegelau International Wine Competition.”

In the “New Zealand International Wine Show” competition, Casillero del Diablo Merlot 2011 and Shiraz 2011 obtained the silver medal, while the Pinot Noir 2011 variety obtained the bronze medal.

The competition counted with the participation of more than two thousand wines coming from thirteen countries and was presided by Master of Wine Bob Campbell, the most experienced judge of New Zealand wine competitions.

Casillero del Diablo Shiraz 2011, on the other hand, also obtained the silver medal, this time in the “Spiegelau International Wine Competition,” while the Merlot 2011 variety obtained the bronze medal.

The competition counted with the participation of more than a thousand wines coming mainly from New Zealand and Australia, besides other wine producer countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Argentina, and Chile.

These recognitions added to others obtained during 2012 in various competitions prove the extraordinary quality that the different wine varieties of Casillero del Diablo have maintained globally.
