The Casillero del Diablo brand recently achieved a historic milestone when it became the United Kingdom’s top-selling Cabernet Sauvignon brand with a 60% growth in value and volume with an increase from 240,000 9L cases to 390,000 between the final week of 2014 and February 28, 2015.
As a result of this extraordinary accomplishment, sales of Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon surpassed those of Wolf Bass, its Australian peer in this category.
“We are extremely happy that Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon is Number 1 in sales in the brand’s most important market. This is the result of the extraordinary quality of our wines along with our ongoing work in conjunction with our office in England,” affirms Sebastián Aguirre, Marketing Director for Viña Concha y Toro Premium Wines.
During the same period, Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon in general experienced an outstanding 14.6% growth and surpassed France, which suffered a 0.6% decrease.
This important news is in addition to Casillero del Diablo being positioned among the world’s most admired wine brands for the second consecutive year in a study conducted by the English publication Drinks International.
Furthermore, Casillero del Diablo entered the ranks of the Top 10 wine brands sold in the United Kingdom, which more than confirms the importance the brand has achieved in that market.
